LMS BUILT DERBY 1946 (raised year)

Having moved to the cast Iron pattern of builders plate seen in 1944, the LMS at Derby starts to cast the year on the plates as raised numbers again in 1946, why we don't know?. The whole pattern remains unchanged and is in circulation until the introduction of the Derby Built Pattern.

Size in inches- Usually 10 & 7/16ths+ by 6 (hole centres 8 & 3/4 typical), 1/4 inch thick.
Pattern Rarity- Not Common
Special Features- Block type foundry lettering, upside down S in LMS. Raised year.
