LMS REBUILT 1896 STOKE

LMS Rebuilt Stoke plates are virtually unheard of but are known from a number of old pictures. The pattern given below is based upon typical MR Derby styling despite its closer proximity to Crewe. The plates is course in manufacture and crudely finished. Very few North Staffs Rly locos were rebuilt and none survived into BR. Distance between bolt holes is 7 & 5/8 which is less than standard, again because these plates were fitted pretty much in the same location as the NSR plates. Material is Brass.

Size in inches- 10 & 3/8ths by 5 & 3/4 (hole centres 7 & 5/8 typical)
Pattern Rarity- Believed Unique,
Special Features- Retains all of the characteristics of the MR Derby styling, an almost perfect clone of the Derby Rebuilt plates.
